Research, Design, Development and Educational activities in Global Navigation Satellite Systems

The NavSAS group carries out research, design, and development activities across the full GNSS value chain, from signal processing and receiver architectures to system-level analysis tools. Alongside this technical work, the group is strongly committed to education, offering university and PhD-level training to prepare the next generation of GNSS engineers and researchers.

INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

The NavSAS research group has been involved in more than 50 research projects related to Satellite Navigation Systems funded by national and international institutions such as Italian Space Agency (ASI), European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), and European Space Agency (ESA).

ACKNOWLEDGED EXPERTIES

The NavSAS team enjoys a distinguished standing among the global network of experts in GNSS and PNT technologies. Its senior members are currently part of relevant technical task forces and prestigious editorial committees within the Institute of Navigation and IEEE journal boards.

INDUSTRY COLLABORATIONS

NavSAS conducts research and develops innovative navigation technologies and solutions in collaboration with national and international industry partners, including Thales Alenia Space, Qascom, and Igaspin GmbH, among others.
